Yes, reddevil, they really are cool. and $20 for the 4 inch one doesn't seem bad. They develop pretty quickly though if you are looking to get smaller ones. I really enjoy watching them pick up the gravel and spit it back out...it's a pretty continuous process and people that don't know fish will love watching him too. They are very docile and majestic when they fully color up, I give them a thumbs up all the way around.

If it is still there when i go back i will get it..these guys are just so beautiful.

pull yours out of the tank and throw a tape on it, id be willing to bet a 6 pack its not 7" the ones in Scott's tank are maxed out. they came from the Shed Aquarium and were in a very large tank and there not 9" :D

i know a lot of people that have F0 adults and F1 adults and also keep them in large tanks with optimal water changes are not more then 7" :naughty:

If orange heads got 9-10" everyone would own them but unfortunately they don't get that big hell i would still have them if they got that big

someone show me a 10" tapajos Orange head and il send you a 6pack of your choice but even Weidner has never seen one this size and if there is anyone out there that has it would be him :D :headbang2

Alright, maybe its my imagination because I haven't been to Scotts in a few months and that display is pretty packed.

I did some "tape to the glass" measuring and the largest two are right about 6" w/ the smaller two at about 5 1/2"

:( :banhim:  :D

Ya scott has some juripari in with them as well i think? they max around 2 years or so but fill out nicely. they will get fat and thick. and thats when they look good! or better for that matter.

I wish tapajos got the size of Altifrons i would have a tank full of them. maybe we can start injecting them with steroids lol
