I think the act of entering someones house, uninvited and maliciously is worth killing over. And if everyone else did, or at least acted like they did. We would see less brake ins.

nd herein lies the risk. Who is the burglar? how many? how armed? If you run off to play Rambo without seeing to your family first, and get shot, then what? Too many unknowns. your responsibility is there safety and well being, not being a tough guy. get them out of the house and hopefully you get to see them grow old. They dont want you dead over a Xbox. Again, I say, Is the fight worth it? You wont gain much by winning the shoot out.

You could get tranquilizer gun, I used to have one in a state it was legal in. I fairly sure is it illegal to forcibly inject someone with animal grade drugs every were in the U.S and that might not fall under what you can legally do. But who would press charges on someone for not killing them...
