I've heard 3 wise bits of advice about boats...
1) it's better to have a friend with a boat than have a boat
2) the two best days in a boaters life are the day the buy it, and the day they sell it
3) a boat is basically a hole in the ocean that you throw money into

Me and my dad got a 1948 2 hp johnson that my grandad use to own running a cpl years ago, some stuff is just priceless.
