Getting some Cichla today.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
A quick update. They are all devouring minced raw shrimp with a couple eating ColorBits and ORA Clownfish Bits (they are mixed together) with 3-5 feedings per day. They are aggressive feeders, biting me as I feed them the minced shrimp. On this diet and three 50% water changes at this point, they have grown almost an inch. The male rasboras are all gone(thinner than the females), and the Cichla are sparing for dominance. At this rate, in another week, they should be big enough to eat their former selves(1 1/2 weeks ago). I knew they grew fast, but these are by far the fastest growing fish I have ever kept!!! I'll snap some pics tonight and post them in the morning.

yea,i get bitten all the time when i feed them.:D

Well, here are some crappy pics. They just beg WAY too much.

This one has been sporting the horizontal stripe for the last day or so, not sure why. I used to have about twenty rasboras, only eight left.

If I stick my finger in the tank, they will kind of sit still for me.

Note the sparing blemishes from fighting with each other.
