He is half Sandfire/german giant and half super red. I have a ****ty cell phone camera so his colours are so dulled down in comparison to real life, heres an old picture of him with a good camera for comparison at 6 months old

Your dedication is ASTOUNDING! I believe if he can speak to you, he'd be thanking you everyday. May he live as long as the tuataras or the Galapagos tortoises!

Haha thanks Naos, they are actually very easy to take care of! Maybe 10min per week, and they poop hardly ever too!

Great job!

They do make amazing pets don't they? they are so easy to care for and they are a very manageable animal even for children to handle them. I would recommend beardies to anyone!

Oh no doubt, even my conures ( parrots) used to play with him on the floor all day, even my cat hangs out with him when I bring him out! Awesome pets indeed, mine is closer to 2' I just didn't stretch him in the pic! Not to mention he's like 200 years old in beardy years so he's shrinking every day lol..

Hi, my friend has a beards and he only eats live food, how does he make him eat veg (he occasionally eats rocket but you have to put a mealworm on top of it)

Thing is when I had him for the first 8 years I was very lax about feeding him, in the wild they don't eat often, so on occasions he went weeks without food, but usually he was fed every week, for the past couple years I feed him every 3 or so days, and I believe he got hungry enough to eat veggies, kind of like getting a fish onto pellets I guess. Now he eats anything and everything I give him, over feeding is NOT good for them!

This may or may not have contributed to his long term health and age, but I like to think so.
