the short fins dun make them look bigger... they are bigger... jus cos u nvr seen bettas tht big doesnt mean tht they dun exist... we got them here in sg...

might as well use scissors... it wont work letting them fight each other... ever heard of genes?

thats intresing, i spoke to the chairman of the anabantoid association on this subject at the national finals and he said females can be proven by the egg spot above the anal fin but ive never seen one on any betta species. can you elaborate on the egg sag/sack(sp?) im intrested to learn more

ok u look at my last female which i hav posted. and u look at the ventral fin. jus behind the ventral fins do u c a small spot protuding out? tat is the egg spot. as for the egg sag u can only c it on a light colored betta, which i do not hav. some light colored bettas are, platinum, white, gold and yellow.
