Giant Gourami?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
A Jd is a jack dempsey. Midevil is the name for the probable midas/ red devil hybrids in pet stores ;)

thanks, i like the red devil hybrids :), does anyone know of any mini sharks, like any mini catfish? or mini hammerheads??
Ones that actually look like proper sharks, rather than bala sharks?
Thanks
Mike

are red tail catfish at 18" be to big, on its own in a 75 gallon, 4ft? with a pleco or not?

This has to be a troll.

You can't keep any LARGE fish in a 4ft tank unless it's something like 4'x 4'. If you want to keep a pleco WITH something else I wouldn't feel comfortable going larger than about 12" max. If the fish gets larger than about 12" don't bother trying to keep it in a 4' tank. Use google, it's your friend.

Just because someone is uneducated does not mean they are a troll. He could just simply be new to fishkeeping. Since he said 75 gallons you could keep some species of cichlids in there. I can't really think of something that looks like a "Proper shark". You could make your fish really happy and get a smaller cichlid like a convict or firemouth in a 75 gallon easily.

Stay away from RTC's they get huge... Talking in the 3'+ range when mature... So no definitely wont work in your 75g for too long...

Also, i think you need to start looking at what fish you like that stay UNDER 18" when mature... Or else they are just going to suffer without the right future upgrades...

thanks all,
Yeah, that was a kinda dumb thing to ask about a shark, i should know better after keeping fish for 10 years now :L ahah,
I think id rather keep my fish happy then torture it, i learnt the stupid way by putting 3 fancy goldfish in a 5 gallon! not a good idea!!
I gunna keep looking for a friendly fish, that is 18" mature, one thats like a GG, but not so big :L
thanks alot
Mike

You're doing the right thing... All too often we have intentions of upgrading but then life happens and you have to put off that large tank build...

Angel fish can look impressive in a tank, especially a group of striped ones in a tank with silica sand, twig like driftwood and java moss.and the back glass blacked out.or the same set up with geophagus surinamensis
