At 2ft size GG have poor transferability. 4 for 5. Here is a loss of a 2ft RTGG for no good reason. Netted quickly in ~3 min, transferred quickly <1 min to a tank next door. Something goes wrong with the swim bladder or the RTGG gets too weak from shock to evade pacu biting off its fins one tiny bit at a time, which leads to death eventually in isolation.

 
It's harder for GGs to participate in this this but they get crumbs. On the pellet days they feed well.
