GIANT gouramis

The guy at the nearby LFS feeds his 2 huge GGs with koi pellets - veggies every once in a while but koi pellets daily. He uses the big pellets.

I can all too easily testify that his fish are big and healthy. Maybe you should try that.

I take it that these 2 are your adopted babies until you find one

Indeed they are.

Thing is, they are in a pond and the only "decent" picture I've been able to take of one of them is this:

BTW, I called one LFS this morning and I was told that they have (finally) received some giant gouramis. It's the golden variety - which, I believe, must be the xanthic or leucistic one. Thing is, they sell only pairs (i.e. in twos - not necessarily a male and a female).

Tank size is 9 foot x 30" x 30" and Tank mates are some Madagascan Cichlids, Tinfoil Barbs and a giraffe catfish. I have found that frozen grapes are also a big winner.
