Well, a friend of mine is planning such a tank (I wish it was me but... no funds... no space... etc). And it will be to house 2 PACU! :D So most probably, the tank is going to be bare-bottomed with the bottom and back side painted black, monster filtration, etc... :) Very spartan... the only decoration would be the fish themselves :)

Won't a black sided tank make the Pacus disappear or hard to see?
I would think the same color you type in would be better.

He sure is becoming a big guy, eh? ;)

Yup, he needs to slow down;) I sat him down and tried to explain that we need to move or extend before his final tank is built but he's a fish and didn't understand

Nope, we've tried such a setting (black environment) before and it brought out the red and silver of the fish better... mind you, we had strong lights on top though...

Liz had her tank in blue (the colour I type in) and it was great as well... will have to see...

Thank you for the input, dude :)

My RTGG love freezed dried mealworms just as much as everyone else. And summer being just around the corner means live earthworms aren't far behind.

Nice:D

Similar results as maggot:) Next time I break out the uk's only Tequila shovel to go and get some earth worms for bait I'll try them and post the results;)

I'm still having problems charging the dam thing, with only 2 pins and not the standard 3, at this rate it'll never make it market!

Well I have gone a done it now, :OMG: tonight is the night, I just wasn't feeling that my fish where feeling the whole feeding deal, so I wanted to give them so thing different something new something special. So after thinking thing through I have decided to get my beast power food. I went out tonight and bought for them Cichlid pellets and a few raw shrimp. Tomorrow I will be purchasing about 2 pounds of raw shelled shrimp and these beast will be going on a growth diet.

There all active and searching for more shrimp and pellets, I decided that I will grow these bad boys through the summer unless someone makes a good offer. There going on the High End Premium Diet now. Which will be like the diet to fat and bulk them up for the feast. Premium Cichlid Pellets, Fresh Raw shelled Shrimp, Freezed Dried Mealworms, Live Earthworms, and a hand full of Greens. My Red Parrot have in the last month gone from golf ball size too Baseball size, on the basic diet. I'm just gonna go nutz with these beast for the summer and see what happends.

i would get shrimp with the shell still on..it adds additional protein as well as calcium, my two GG's are growing like theres no tomorrow on cichlid pellets and shrimp..

are mealworms and waxwrms the samething?
and are 'superworms' just big nightcrawlers?
