Sorry you cant keep your pacu. GL finding a good home for it.

my first fish was a pacu now look what happened..:nilly:

yeah great way to great new members yall are some *******s. I can GUARANTEE they gave this pacu a better home than anyone else who would of baught it considering the size it has reached.

Thanks for all the comments. Well so much we have learned because of this fish, and yes, being first time fish-keepers, the first real lesson we learned, was TO DO OUR HOMEWORK! Anyways, we are located in Central Texas, near Austin, and as far as re-homing our pacu we cannot afford to drive much more than to Dallas or Houston or Corpus Christi. All the locals around here, are quite used to the "we have this giant pacu..." story that we never get much more out of mouths before they suggest we euthinize it. That too is so sad, I nearly wish I could afford huge swimming pools to make into tanks and start a Pacu Rescue that could eventually release them back into their natural environment,
(where they might be caught anyways and ate, right?) Well I suppose we could knock out a few walls of the house...wishful thinking, I'm sure my landlords would understand!, anyways thanks for the comments and hopefully something will come about!

I remember a thread not too long ago about you eating the red devils and how nobody has seen your around the boards since. Some thought you died (yeah, me too).

Pacus really are AWESOME fish. Especially with alot of blk pepper AND alot of lime! Believe me, i should know. ;)

I usually am a very positive person, but this is a very nasty bunch of people on this site. I was led to this site to buy fish that were not for sale, and now I see how people who are not perfect (as none of you are) that make a simple mistake get hammered like this site. I have 11 aquariums and over 100 fish. I have made mistakes and learned from them.( A mistake learned from is a mistake, if nothing learned it was a stupid mistake) I think he admitted his mistake. I will be leaving this site and most likely will not return. I would be a fool to ask some of you questions, because I am no genius either. I am so sorry about the ordeal with your pacu, and wish you well. I no longer live in Texas, or I would come get him. God Bless you for your concern for your fishes well being. I lost fish and had to get rid of fish because of mistakes come on people let him up... Eat a pet fish the ones with the comments about eating and condiments, you should not have fish.. That's all I have to say about that, A quote from someone with a higher IQ than some of you. Forest Gump!!!

OMG FOREST GUMP HIMSELF has come onto MFK!!!!!!! :screwy:

This isn't being hard on someone this is just a gental reminder that you should research the fish you are bringing home, Alot of people don't realize the size that alot of these things can get and we here like to be able to "gently" notify others that they really do need to take consideration before getting involved... not just for the person whom is trying to unload a fish but whom ever is reading this thread and things... my 50 gallon is big... no problem.

Personally I would also take this Pacu off your hands for you but I'm not even in the same country let alone state... Good Luck with finding a suitable home
