Super neat! Love the yarrelli! Good luck, seems to be working so far! All you need now is a goliath tigerfish to complete it!

Thanks for comments, will update if something goes off course.

i had a 16inch vatf in the tank with the channa for months. it injured dorsal fin jumping against the hood + i didnt feed the channa for a few days and found the half a vatf left. i believe the channa chose this fish over arrows/pbass because it was wounded (smell), it's shape, and height wise smaller than the others.

so for a gatf to work, it would have to be a mega sized one.

beautiful tank but watch that snakehead on day soon It will tire of its tank mates. I found this out the hard way with my cobra snakehead.

Super cool that you had the VATF in with the Channa. That snakehead better not get bored or hungry though! For that matter, none of your fish better get hungry or bored!

that's a great combo. I love the yarelli. that's one of my fav. cats. great job hope this works out long term.

thanks for support. will update if project goes south or when water clears up for better photos. bog wood still bleeding a lot of tannins

tried to intro shoal of 4" wide band silver dollars (good height) and that did not work, the channa honed in on them immediately. Introduced 2 smaller 6.5" Pbass to which channa pays no attention. Similarly a 6" cichlid is doing fine, don't know it's name roundish like a disc, with multiple black perpendicular bars, silvery white body, pinkish belly when mature.
