Gigantic Salmon Found in California River

What would be the reason to bs this story. This isn't some new world record or obscenely large fish for it's species. Just a large spawned out dead king. Man, I've held countless fish that size and larger out away from my body for pics. Not saying I held them long, just long enough to snap the shot though. Not like he's carrying the thing around. If they were saying this was a 130lb new world record, yes i'd cry bs. But I've handled thousands of kings and say why not?

this fish was only 81 lbs. - and i dont think he's getting that fish in front of him.....even with a knee. show me one REAL picture of someone holding even a 75+ lb. salmon up horizontally in front of them and i might believe that first picture.

fish and game guy seems to be holding it up the same way, just twist the angle so the fish is in front.

maybe.........i don't know. that picture just looks so fake. i don't know. i understand it makes no sense to BS stuff like that, but ive seen it with weirder stuff. people get bored, lol. def. a BIG fish though either way.

that has to be THE FUGLIEST fish i have ever seen

If it is a fake that is doing a good job of faking it, He looks like hes about to crap his pants.

lol..that's what i'm saying

That picture isnt fake, as theres no hell you cant fake this picture. Plus why DNR wants to faking the story?

This salmon is already dead you can see the eyes as it disappeared. What they doing with giant salmon? Mount it on the DNR office? This fish should in Hooked! Monster fish along with new world mirror carp.

Hehe I live right by battle creek in nor-cal I go to the coleman bay fish hatchery all the time. The largest I've seen in the creek was prolly 80+ pounds. It was not at the hatchery tho.

That's a big fish but I have questions regarding the photo. Is the fish resting on his knees while he is carrying it? I had to ask because there is no way a grown man can carry a fish that heavy with his arms extended out like that.

His arms aren't extended outwards. They're fully down parallel to his body. I thought it was a fake pic too, but then I saw the size of his hand next to the fin.
