Girlfriend wants a fish in my tank... any recommendations?

I couldn't play second string if you know what I mean. Find someone who isn't already involved, there are plenty of fish in the sea you know.

You deserve better. usually this kinda stuff happens to women.. my x-fiance played these same games with me. Even with debt my husband and I managed to find a way to get married, and we live on our own together. his debt stems from winning the lottery at 18 not alot of money.. but enough to get him in credit problems. And you bet before I married him we sat down and I had him come clean w/ all of it. It was hard for him to do, it's alot of hard honesty to take from the side-lines let alone the center.

but my point is.. If she wanted out from him, She would be away from him.

I was smart enough I guess to get out of the relationship I was in prior before it got bad. and it sucked begging my parents to let me move back in with them, and doing what I needed to do to get on my feet.

She's eithe rplaying you, or seiorusely diludeing herself.. which either one will bite only you on the ass in the long-run.

as for the fish.. it's a moot point. Your over-stocked and you know it. btw.. fishkeeping is neither just a "hobby" or "toys" to me but part of my family.

I hate giving out relationship advice when I don't know the whole situation, but from what you have mentioned thus far, I agree completely with the above.

I'll ignore your whole situation right now and give you what you asked for- Me and my boyfriend share the fish hobby interest and for the most part noone owns what in the tanks except for my few FAVOURITES which are technically ours but i call my babies- I love my striped raphael catfish and maybe she'd like that? Or we have a species only tank of pea puffers that are amazing personality wise- they are funny to watch and never hide and they watch you just as much as you watch them, they are cool little guys!

You should buy her an angelfish, specifically a koi angel. Chicks love that fish! Every time I would invite girls over, the fish they liked the most was almost always the koi angel.

its your girlfriend let he pick and if it is compatible with ur fish get it

First off with the fish situation, Id just explain to her that the tank is already overstocked and adding even one more fish could cause major issues with the tank.

As for your relationship, your getting screwed. my exgf left me went back to her exhusband, she tried to get me back but wouldnt leave her ex due to money security. There was no way that I was going to deal with that BS.

Dont get played dude

This. There are lots of other women available. I don't get why people do this or stay with a person whose a total jerk. There's nothing wrong with being alone is there?

About the fish, I'm all for her asking her ex to buy her a tank, a big one, might as well get it while ya can.

BTW Hope I don't see you three on "Cheaters"

Sometimes it doesn't matter if there's other fish in the sea. That one person that you're "into" is worth all of the bull**** (even with all the crap ppl give you for going through with it). All I can hope for you is that it is all worth it in the end.

And in that end, get her an axolotl. Not the normal one, the one that glows. They're cool, it'll fit in your 20g set up for awhile. And you will both love it, just let her name it :)
