...if they are devoid of anything that can be misconstrued for "customer service" I would feel 100% justified to drag their name through the mud in various fish forums. Not only would I feel justified, I would feel ABSOLUTELY OBLIGATED to inform my fellow fish keepers if they could NOT even provide free advice.

Your words speak for themselves, and I guess it just rubs you the wrong way when someone points out your own personal bad behavior.

It is clear what your reaction would have been, and that pretty much stands on its own.
