Dang, look at that thing! Grats. So what are you doing this weekend? Watching TV?

Ohhhhhh puuurrrrdy! What are the measurments again?

Sooo....for the purpose of this thread...how does the tank look...and how was it dealing with them so far?

The tank is 96x30x25, 300 gallon wide. So far the entire thing has been a great experience. I exchanged e-mails back and forth with them for a week or so about a different tank. After doing some more measuring I decided that this would be the best tank for the area that I want to put it in.

I looked at their delivery schedule and noticed that they were going to be withing 2 1/2 hours of me three days from that time. I gave them a call just to see if they happened to have any of these tanks built and ready to ship. To my suprise they said yes and they could get it on the truck for Columbus, OH on Saturday. I was amazed.

Friday I received a call from them. They told me that the tank loader guy had gotten sick and he left before he could load my tank so it would not be in Columbus on Saturday. However, since they still wanted me to have the tank if I wanted it they would ship it to me to a local terminal for the same charge as if I was meeting them. This service would have cost way more than the $130 I paid and it was much, much more convenient for me.

I couldn't believe they were willing to do this so I jumped at the opportunity. It worked out much better this way. It gave me a chance to build the stand and have it ready for when the tank arrived.

I think that the tank looks very good. I need to remove a little bit of magic marker and I might scrape off a little extra silicone but that will only take a few minutes. The black trim isn't the best looking trim I have ever seen but I will be hiding that with the stand anyway.

Long story short, for the price I paid I am very happy with the tank. Once I finish all of the plumbing and get some water in it I will give an update.

Sounds good. How much does that thing weigh? It looks hella heavy in your truck.

Its probably 500+ lbs. That is the size that I wanted at first but couldnt fit the 30"...seeing yours now makes me wish I would have did it anyway...but I guess im happy with 24" I have lol. Your experence is much like mine...I got to meet them on I-10 tho as they were passing through LA to get to TX...so I only had to drive 15 min and meat them in a gas station parking lot. And I lucked out becasue they had some glass suction cups in the truck that they sold me...I had just happen to see them and asked if thye had any to get rid of. Makes moving the tank MUCH easier.

It is supposed to weigh 650 pounds. The packing slip said a little under 700.

I finished painting the back of the tank. Can't wait to bring this thing in tomorrow. If anyone is near Charleston, WV you are welcome to stop by and lend a had. ;)

Awesome tank!!!!!
Reminds me of the day I brought my 300g tall Glasscages tank home.
I used a total of 8 people to unload it.
But it really only took six and two of them were women.
Congrats on the tank.

With the suction cups I got we can move my 240 with 4 people with ease. I should have got the 300tall...I thought about it after I got the 240 lol

I'm debating on the 240 and 300 tall now at the moment. I think the 300 wide looks quite a bit bigger though. Of coarse its in a small truck.
