I've got another update, with some bad news, and no pics yet again.
X I lost the Clown Tang to what seemed to be stress from the ich he had from the shop;
a quarantine tank has been setup finally, which is good news I suppose.
X I also lost my two Firefish, which later turned out that my male Emerald Crab was killing them. I would have never guessed that he would be an issue.
X The Emerald ALSO killed the Metallic Shrimp Goby....I'm constantly making these simple mistakes that are costing the tank its stock, and taking away from my own wallet! So, the Emerald crab is no longer in the tank, and I will be adding an algae crew to replace him.
✔ Last night I tore down the tank, and scrubbed every bit of algae off the rock, the glass, filter, heater, sand, etc.
It. Looks. Good. Raised the magnesium levels in the tank, so hopefully that keeps it from showing up too soon. This is the first time in two years that I have really taken care of the algae problem.
✔ I've also picked up some new Gobies for different setups. One being a BlueFin Watchman Goby
with a Tiger Pistol Shrimp. Both are very fun to watch move different pieces of gravel around the tank. I also picked up a F. maximus Goby that is doing very well. Eating just about anything that is put into the tank; cool, little, transparent Goby.
X Tiger Watchman is posted in my Goby collection in my sig, which was true, however, because he was new at the shop I just bought him right away. Judging by his body weight at that time, it seemed as if he had internal parasites, which ultimately led to his death not too long after. Impulse buy, but I will find one with a healthy look to it...eventually.
✔ The rest of the Gobies seem to be doing well, and I did learn that the smaller 'Yellow Watchman' is actually an unidentified species of Watchman known as the Lightbanded Watchman/Lightbanded Shrimp Goby. He will stay small like that.
I will get a new Metallic Shrimp Goby for sure! Just need to wait for one to show....
Here are some pics of the two new Gobies *Not mine* I will post actual shots hopefully soon.

The main 55-Gallon is a work in progress; I just hope the things start going more smoothly from now on. I will have to be more careful when dealing with different species going into the tank.
