I just got back from South America last week, brought back 50 fish in my suitcases.

That's great, I wasn't sure what the travel would be like from South Africa. Have you considered going to other lakes? Are Tanganyika and Victoria as commercialized?

Going to Tanganyika in 2012, maybe twice.

No diving in Victoria, but i do have contacts there, so i will get there eventually.
Maybe if i end up in Burundi i can drive up to Southern Victoria.

What i really want to do is go to some of the smaller lakes that nobody ever goes to, hopefully next time Heiko goes.

When you go to Tanganyika I'd love to hear of/see your encounters with O. Tanganicae and O. Niloticus as well. You might see some of the later that are 5-10lbs.
