Nice. What kind of Pleco's did you bring back?

Ancistrus from 3 spots, though they look identical.
Parancistrus.

Brought back a nice pimedela cat, but he was one of the few casualties, that and a Apisto Borelli male died(we only caught 2).
Some whiptail cats.

Some crazy looking cat, not sure what it is, ill get a pic up when he quits hiding.
nice golden orange knife fish.

Hoplias.

The mbuna have picked those rocks clean! It must be surreal seeing all of these fish in their natural habitat.

Epic photos. I'm hoping to make Malawi in the next year or two. Just gotta make sure I go with Larry Johnson, lol.

May I ask what camera setup you used?

For this trip...

nikon D60
18-55 VR lens
Ikelite housing, with dome port
two ikelite DS50 strobes.

next time i will take my Nikon D90, and bigger DS200 strobe.
i took the wrong lens, its a good all around above water lens, but underwater, not so good, and i used the wrong port for this lens choice.

the camera is not as important as the lighting (strobes), correct port for lens, and lens choice.

I could have took my older D70 (less MP than my D60 and D90), and it would have done better than my D60 if i selected other lenses and ports.

The main 4 lenses that nikon "pro's" use for underwater are...
Nikon 105mm
Nikon 10.5mm
Nikon 60mm
Tokina 10-17mm (much better than Nikons version).
all pricey lens, 500-1000 each compared to my 18-55, and 55-200 nikon VR's which can be found for $100 to $200.
I have the 105mm coming, and maybe ill pick up the Tokina before heading to Tanganyika in 2012.

nothing brought back, there is a huge issue bringing back fish from Malawi, permits and such. Plus i didn't catch anything.

I just got back from South America, and i brought back about 50 fish, including a celidochilus pair.
