Any plans to put them in the koi pond next summer ?

I have thought about it once I set the smaller pond up to the system. I don’t want them in the big pond because I’d never be able to catch them. And my pond won’t stay warm enough through the winter to keep them out. But I bet they would look amazing after being raised outside in a more natural setting.

Omg they have quite a size difference!

Jade is a dream fish babe hahaha

They do! Jade is so much smaller. And thank you. She didn’t look like much when I first got her, it she is turning out nicely.

A couple pictures from last night. Oliver was out on patrol. The fry seem to split into two groups. Jade watches one group and Oliver the other. He has been an amazing dad with these guys. 439A1971-CE50-480A-B0D8-147B9490C65D.jpeg15E8241E-5E5B-4990-AEDB-7CD07FCECA39.jpeg

And today I took some fry out. Not sure I even got half of them, but plenty for growing out. Jade was furious when she realized what I was doing. She kept grabbing the net and trying to pull it away! She is a little fighter. 53AD0AE7-3999-4614-9169-5E8B2F85AB7E.jpeg A7E2E016-DFAB-4539-9AF3-5E8B3F8806A2.jpeg 83B91F63-CE94-40E7-B0B9-F57C1ADF4258.jpeg

slipshodman slipshodman and mattison187 mattison187 Thank you both:)

I’ll have to get some pictures once I get some fish moved around.

I just stumbled across this thread, very nice pair. I'm jealous. How old is your male? Your female almost looks like a Stahlsbergi

I got him at 2” and have had him for a little over a year. I have a growout thread on here for him that charts his growth from when I got him.

She is an awesome little thing. No picture ever does her justice. I almost hate to cross her with my gold. I think in the future I may want to get a silver male to keep the lines straight. If I do that I’ll just get another gold female for my male since my big female has never fully bonded with him.
