Latest pictures of the fry. I just moved 15 into the 75g to get my koi fry numbers down and to give them more grow out room.
I caught this one sleeping.
I’m really liking the fry from Jade. It looks like these guys may have more of Oliver’s fin shape(the shape I want) and Jades brighter blue color. I’m still only seeing orange tips on the bigger fry, but if they turn out like I’m hoping I’ll be happy.
Parent tank. I’m getting bored with how plain it is. A rescape is in the future.... I miss plants.

It’s so interesting how they color up depending on the substrate.
These guys are in the 75g with obviously light gravel
And these guys are in the 135g with the adults, black sand.
No sign of silvers either, just golds.

I sold all the fry that I had in my 75g. So today I decided to try and catch the rest of the babies that are in with their parents.

The first few I caught.
Maybe it’s wishful thinking, but do I see a silver seam?
I was only able to net 17. So far after filling I saw at least 4 I missed. I suppose that’s fine since they should eat up any eggs or fry when the females spawn again.

I really hope it is. I might end up growing out a couple till they hit 4-5in. Just to see how they turn out. Fingers crossed I have at least one silver!

Not full silver or gold. The bottom male is 3” and his seam has slowly been filling in. Most of the fry I have left seem to have this half and half color going on.

Did any of yours have the rounded faces? I had quite a few that I had to cull due to this deformity.
