I have a question.....I just got me a 4" GN the other day, and it seems that with the stress he lost a lot of his gold color. What is the best thing to do/feed him to make his vibrant color come back? It is the most I have ever paid for a pleco and I want him to be worth every penny.

Im not unexpert sir!! but as i can say dont feed him yet for 24hr. let him adjust to the environment that he is staying and observe him, he maybe to stress on his journey so just let him rest for the moment!! :)

How long have you had it? What are water params? Good hiding spots? Lots of wood, meat and veggies? The color on plecos often fades when they get stressed, but will return quickly once the stress factor is settled.

Got him on friday, there are some big fake plants and some smaller driftwood in the tank, and I have been feeding algea wafers to the tank so far. What else do I need to do?

Meaty food is definitely needs to be on the menu. Also some good hiding spots, caves, pots things like that.
