I sorted out which of my goldfish were feeders and which were not the fun way... Those who could avoid becoming snapping turtle food were rewarded with a life of ease in my goldfish pond. I noticed that the fiesty ones tended to not become food; the boring and slow ones were not so lucky lol.
I dont think it makes a difference weather its homemade or not when people first started puting fish outside in the elements where they dont belong it should have been out lawed by the US fish and wildlife. I have no problem for those with indoor ponds or goldfish in aquariums but when there outside and you cant control where they go it shouldnt have ever been aloud.Red Devil;3235209; said:

I had goldfish as a kid, and while I loved them then, today I can't connect with them. Someone mentioned lack of personality, and I think I have to agree. Guppies make me feel the same way. They just move around for the sake of moving around, never seeming to hunt for anything, stalking anything, being picky about foods and so on.
However, I have been noticing that I look at koi longer these days, and I have caught myself having fleeting fantasies of koi ponds...

i like them becuz there plain old-school and they come in soo many diff varieties... i think they have more personality then any other fish other then a few
