anyone have suggestions on where to get a cheap pond?

Do what I did. 8x10 liner from justliners.com i beleive was 47$ shipped
2 4x8 sheets of plywood (18$ each) and 6 2x6 8 feet long. When I went to home depot a few ago I got that, plus 2 plexiglass tops, 2 boxes of screws and that cost me 80$. So I have a $127 6x2x2 180 gallon tank.

Iv trimmed the liner since then so its flush with the top, and stained the wood cherry. One day I might add some molding to finish it off.

Heres a shot with my female comet 12", the white one died sunday along with 4 others so not as many fish, only in that pic the white one I lost

ive had goldfish for a long long time now.. since i was a little child
they've gotten boring.. but i still keep em.. lol

I was never really a gold fish keeper or lover untill I put 2 dozen in my turtle tank...for ummm well...ya know. So the ones that are left, about 16...are now pets that live with my turtles. My turtles have completely lost interest in them now and I love the way they look in the tank with them! Almost looks like an indoor 55 gal pond!

i love goldfish i have some in a 60 gallons tank temp. is around 77 F.Total filtration is 500 GPH i mixed them with 2 cory catfish and may add many more tropical fish.

That's incorrect - mutation suggests genetic alteration at the embryonic or cellular level. Instead, thousands of years of selective breeding of the common carp, Carassius auratus, created the different varieties. At this point, all varieties breed true and all characteristics are natural. It's exactly like dogs - all descended from a domesticated ancestor, and generations of selective breeding created widely varied breeds.
