Goldfish

Fancy Goldfish are cool. Even the common ones, but I want nothing to do with them other than them being food. I feel kinda bad, they swim around and eat and all that.

When I wasa kid I won a goldfish at a carnival by throwing a ping pong ball in a cup. The guy told my dad not to worry that it will die in 3 days. Well, guess what? It grew massive! It must have got 6-7 inches. Too bad, I put a catfish in there not knowing the danger and the catfish beat the crap out of it, took its eyes out etc.

Pyramid - I won Napoleon at the local county fair four years ago this August. He was about an inch long. And now...

He's on top, at 16 inches and growing. :grinyes:

I love your pics!

Napoleon is just awesome!

Here's my 7 1/2" plain ole' Goldfish. He's been changing color from dark brown to bright yellow the past 4 months. We found him in a pond we drained 18 months ago thinking it was empty, he was smaller than the fingernail on my little finger. My son was 10 at the time and it was love at 1st sight lol He named him "Fishy". There had been Koi in the pond, I'm hoping he's not part Koi or he'll be getting his own pond later on down the road lol He's in a 100 g with 2 other Goldfish right now.

congrats on keeping him alive from so young.

Thanks :) He's pretty special since he's officially my son's fish. It's hard enough to lose my own fish but it'd be triple-hard to lose your 12 yr old son's fish :-(
