Goliath update...

i was also confused at first, thought it was you selling but your tiger is much bigger. They seem to difficult to move at that size, especially for a fish that stresses easy. Plus it went from a solo tank to one with too many other fish. I think they were probably better off throwing it right into the pool but I’m not sure why they don’t just grow one out themselves. Also could easily envision this being a terrible selling situation where the tiger rams it’s head into the tank while being netted and youre both sort of sitting there knowing it isn’t gonna make it. Definitely an awkward I’ll see ya later good luck with the fish! Realistically at the size where it likely needs a sedative and the special koi netting
That pretty much sums it up. I couldn't have said it better then myself. The way they went to collect him without lowering the water level and using a big nylon koi bag is a mystery to me. The guy that owned that fish knew better too I am sort of disappointed in him as well. He had the fish for a long time longer then I've had mine just his never grew much til closer to the end when he sold it. I agree it should have never gone into a community tank when it basically grew up with no swimmers with him. I have seen them grow out a few tigers in the past few yrs but they seem to never make it full term. Supposedly some one bought them a juve vatf like 8" or so. The very first day it injured itself not sure on its present state. This was like 2 weeks ago. I was fortunate enuf to get mine at 14" or so and alive on arrival too, lol.

Can you upload a vid onto YouTube like thebiggerthebetter does and tell us about the whole setup within the vid. Feeding would also be sweet!
I don't really mess with YouTube. Shame I cant upload a vid on here. I feed him at nite time unless it's like a treat like super worms. They all pretty much go fo that. It wouldn't come out very good being a nite feed with just the moonlighting as a lite. For me it's fine. It's a dimmable kind and is pretty strong. It's set at just the right mode that I can see them and feed the tiger individually his big ass pieces and toss in the smaller ones for the rest of the fish.

Sweet! This is one of the biggest known in captivity right?
In the US I believe so. He is just shy of 40" . I have spoken with a few different people on that exact thing and they all tell me hands down it's the biggest the country. There is alot of excellent specimens world wide tho especially in Asia! No surprise right? ?

Yeah wtf they gotta update their 2005 website. I’d love to see badass videos and not just photos lol, do you got a youtube?
Hosting videos is expensive. Can just post an unlisted video, then put the link in your post. It will show in your forum posts but won't be visible on youtube!

And wow, that thing is huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge!
