Well guys this will be the last time you see me post on this one. This morning, my big guy had past away....I am making this post with the heaviest of hearts. I believe he had injured himself on a the driftwood, maybe he got spooked or it fell and it spooked him. He has some bleeding and bruising on his bottom area. Unfortunately idk the exact reason but he is gone. I appreciate the love and enthusiasm u guys showed him on this post thru the past several years...... Now begins the next chapter of the tank. 7 years and weighed just over 30lbs.

Oh man. That's a rough go for you bud. I hope you find some peace with him and move on with a new grow out of some sort. You managed to raise up a a true monter fish as good as anyone I've seen. Says a lot about your husbandry for your animals

So sorry about the tiger. The unexplained deaths are always the worst.
Truly one of the most impressive fish on here - one of my favorites.

Ty I appreciate the kind words. Yes with time we all heal some but regardless there will always be a part of me that died today with him. Foolish as it may sound it is my reality and I am dealing with it the best I can. Most def I will have a new batch of fish to raise up and share with you guys....

Any idea what you wanna do next?
Not 100% but thinking dorado and pb group..never really dedicated my time and energy to them before. I don't see many 2'+ dorado around so that would be a great challenge for me. But I need to have some time to grieve for him because he is deserves it. He gave this big kid several years of amazement and entertainment that I will always cherish and me losing him has taken some of the wind from my sails

I completely understand that. Have you considered having him mounted? I honestly think that's something I'd look into if it were me
