Dont always trust the LFS guy.

I have to hand feed my african knife with frozen food and earthworms due to one fast fish. I bought the guy cause apparently it got food in a tank with 60+ other fish (ID sharks, cichlids etc)

This guy also said i could keep a jardini in my tank since it only gets half the length of my tank (4 ft)

Invest in a test kit. As crazy as it sounds, all of my friends who have tanks don't own one. I can't think of a better investment when owning an aquarium.

Will vouch for this, I did not have one and being a newbie I did not know how bad my water was. In the end lost 3 fish.
