I dunno 'bout this...it reeks of hypocrisy on so many levels.
Was this truly justice or just revenge?
In my opinion it was a preventetive measure for future potential tyrants,,,,
now let's hang Bush.

thats funny I should post a message I just got about that... it pretty much said... that if bush was tried under the same criteria ne would also be found guilty and put to death.... I do not believe that there should have been special circunstnces for Saddams trial I believe he should have been tried like a nomal citizen

I just wanted to post this link that David sent to me.. its just a blog for peoples oppinions on the subject

http://news.blogs.nytimes.com/?p=119#respond

look what the rest of the world thinks of the US now... the only people who think that we did the right thing are the Shiites and fellow americans.. kinda funny huh... and we didnt want to start WW3 but I think that this is only the begginning

The US should have bailed him out and put him back in power. He seemed to be the only one to keep the people from killing each other over there.

Pardon my French everyone, but that crazy bastard deserved what was coming to him. Did they actually televise him being hanged? I've heard yes and no. Which is it?

I dare say rottbo, but i think Britain supported the US and their decisions following 2001. However many Brits have turned the other way now, even after the London bombings. More and more i see reports on the news about the growing concerns and debates here over the war on terrorism.

We attempted to extinguish the sparks of few and far between terrorist acts. But instead, with acts such as full blown wars in Iraq, we poured gasoline on those sparks. And now we will have to live with the ever growing flames of our actions. The execution of so many people's ‘idol’ is just another canister exploding in the flames.

Back to what i was saying before, so many people have gone against Mr Blair’s decisions after following Mr Bush that we can not wait for him to go. In fact we can not wait for just Mr Blair to go, but his whole party as well. Out with the Labour party and in with the Conservative party is how it looks for 2007/2008.

Terrorism acts and terrorism prevention will become entwined with our daily lives soon. There will be a day when people can not remember the times of not having to worry about hidden explosions, hijacking, kidnapping and quite frankly...war…

In a sense, this is worse that WWI and WWII, as there is no clear path and no clear winning position to be had.
