I keep my 20" Goonch in a 300 with all these fish.. Could he eat the smaller fish I suppose he could but there not that small and he hasn't tried.

That is a bad ass tank! Loving the hampala's, siamese giant carp, and wallago!

Sweet mix. I can't believe how big that wallago has gotten. Seems like just yesterday I was boxing it up for you!

Any more goonch questions rob (Chicxulub) has has a thread of information that has been compiled on goonch cats. All of the major goonch heads on here have threads up. In robs thread he also talks about the dwarf goonch species. Dr.Ng (the man who is responsible for finding Bagarius rutilus) has taled to him for quite some time. There are major discrepancies when it comes to the current genus which is long overdue for a overhaul.

Very nice fish! Glad they both made it safely ... they look very clean, and well fed! Interesting that they are both very light in color, which seems to be more unique ... I have one like those, and then another one that is darker and more heavily spotted which seems to be more common ... if it helps your decision on whether to keep them or not, my lighter colored one is more passive and has never attacked a tankmate, while the other is a nasty beast! Either way they are indeed a tough fish to trust with others, but I hope you keep at least 1 cause they are truly awesome .... I'm working on a feeding vid of mine, just having trouble getting the damn camera to talk to my computer, becasue since I've introduced sting rays with them about a month ago they have become so active its insane! Anyway, best of luck with them, they are beauties!

Wow you are keeping rays with your goonch now!? How big are the rays! Yes please lets see some pics or better yet a video! How big are you goonches now?

Thanks for the info as well. I love both of these guys and it will be hart to part with them! problem is tank space lol. I'll see what I can do. If I don't sell both and end up with 1, I'll definitely be replacing some of my smaller tank and get one to house to the goonch! They are awesome fish. Actually more active than I have read so far. They move around quite a bit and especially like to position themselves in the current. They will swim to the other side of the tank and eventually go back lol. I tried adding some small fish with them. Its day 2 and everyone is still there lol. These 2 were wild caught but captive raised in Taiwan so are healthy specimens! I'm sure their previous owner took very good care of them. They were raised together since small.
