Got bored with a grinder..

Following the rules and showing ya then

Heated it with a heatgun to put a little movement into it and did a quickie brown paint job on it. (used a dremel on this one).

I had seen someone do something similar awhile back and thought about doing one for my pleco but totally forgot all about it till I saw your post tonight. So thanks for the kick in the pants

Thinking about doing a few with heated/pinched shut ends for breeding too now.

Just remember beauty is in the eye of the beholder. My torch is out of propane and the only paint I have is fluorescent green, which would probably be snazzy in a glo tank.

What an amazing idea! You should make them and sell on eBay or something.
I love my dremel and am always looking for new projects to try. I mostly carve rocks.
I'm going to have to try this out! I just so happen to have some extra 1 1/2in pvc pipe laying around from the filter box my husband made me Hopefully he will be able to talk me through how to use his torch. Haha!

You could make that into a banzai tree and put it into the tank as decor, in not creative enough to do anything like this awesome stuff guys

as the title says. Between sitting at home bored, and beeing sick of looking at countless pieces of pvc in my tanks(due to a bunch of spoiled catfish) i went in the garage and started playing around with a cut wheel on my grinder. This is what i ended up with. Figured you guys would appreciate this.

I gotta ask did you use just a zip disk for this or a hard disk also

if you have a dremel handy, i would recommend that over a grinder. Just out of safety alone. Less apt to cut a finger off

If you know how to use a grinder this is not a problem lol
