i have done ALOT of reaserch on them, the one i would get is a male which would live 4-5 years. the females die in a year after reaching sexual maturity. the captive breed them and control the temps on the eggs to make mostly males. the only problem i have with him is that he is too small. i would have to sponge every filter hole and probably silicon the lids. it would be cool to have him in a little bio cube tho.
