yea it was just a thought
i have done ALOT of reaserch on them, the one i would get is a male which would live 4-5 years. the females die in a year after reaching sexual maturity. the captive breed them and control the temps on the eggs to make mostly males. the only problem i have with him is that he is too small. i would have to sponge every filter hole and probably silicon the lids. it would be cool to have him in a little bio cube tho.

Ok, so I wasn't far off on the 10-12 months, just for females... interesting.

So why don't you turn it into a reef?? There are some SWEET corals out there and you can still keep reef-safe fish.

I think that is his intention, eventually.

i will be making it a reef :) i need to work on more live rock and our fish stock as well as corals.
its goin to be a slow process. i want to make sure everythin is stable after the move before anythin gets added.
i will probably add a few more realy nice pieces of rock and then get the fish stock up with some corals. its goin to be a slow process
ha missed that one heathd knows me too well already.
but now that i have the tank lets here some stocking ideas :)
we are probably keeping the yellow tang and the coral beauty (untill he eats some corals) which there are some sort of hot pink polyp in there now that he leaves alone
i think our first new addition will be a sailfin leaf fish. they are just too cool not to have
also a pair of ocilaris clowns with bubble tip
some sort of wrasse (suggestions :)? )
lets see what yall can suggest to go with those fish :)
also a triger of some sort

bump :)

Nice lionfish.

You know, this title could be a good "Thats what she said" joke

Very nice looking tank, Im looking forward to some updates when you get some more rock in there and start stocking it with what you want.

Just find an LFS who is willing to work with you on store credit for the fish you want to get rid of.
