Got my tank!

What are you guys using for strainers? The pvc is 1.5''

You can get a fitting that will go from 1.5" to 2" then cut some slots in the 2" PVC. Kinda like the top of a castle. Pay attention to how deep you make the cuts because that will be the water level when the pump fails for what ever reason. The larger diameter pipe you get for the top piece the less cutting your going to need to keep the correct flow.

Air: I had the same problem on my pump intake? The water fall is causing a lot of air bubbles and the pump is pushing it into your tank. Makes the water look cloudy and bubbles collect on the glass. I moved my pump intake as far away from the waterfall as possible. I will up load a pick if you want? You can also raise the water level in that last chamber a bit.

Funny that you said that. About an hour ago I snipped a few inches off of the divider to raise the level in that side of the tank and the problem you speak of is now solved. I also fixed the noise from the overflow by moving my aqualifter lower.
