From nothing to a build like this you're going to fit in great around here. Hell I've had 1400 gallons of water in my house running at one time and I still haven't built my own tank. Great job.

Haha, thanks! I guess the idea of customization is what really made me build this myself. Hard to find a used tank that has an external overflow built in and a bulkhead fitting on the side of the tank and not the bottom.

Next order of business is to work on custom spray bar for FX5 output and to finish the sump...so pretty much I have to go spend a little cash on PVC stuff :grinno:

In one week this thing will be filled with water and if it passes a 5 day leak test it will be a new member of my family!:headbang2

More updates...

I let the tank sit for roughly 2 weeks before finally putting in some water.

Ended up filling the tank 2/3rds of the way up, not one leak! :headbang2

Also been working on the wet dry

very nice. I like the progress and I'm glad to see it didn't leak for you in your test fill.

excellent build go big or go home that is an awesome way to get into the hobby. besides I find the bigger tanks way easier to take care of then the little ones. keep us posted I like this build
