I love the outside overflow. I hate when the big bulky ones watse valuable real estate in a tank of monster sized fish

Are you sure you only want the notch 1" deep. That will keep your water level in the tank less than one inch from the top.

I thought about that too, but anymore of a dip in the notch will make the water level look awkward. Time will tell how this project turns out so keep your fingers crossed for me.

Nice, are you guna post up pics of the assembly of the glass an the coast of it all that would be really cool to compare to if you had went an just bought everything outright.

ZOMG UPDATES!

Finished the unfinished stand










Placed the stand in the final spot it will be and began masking the bottom piece of glass, now all I need to do is get some manpower to help with siliconing the sides (the giant hill on my way to progress!)

Oh yeah, the girlfriend will be my centerpiece in the tank for the RBP's to swim around.
