  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
What does he act like? Is he very shy? He certainly is a great-looking fish.

You don't consider 2.5" of growth in 8 months slow?

Nice Grammy btw.

Thanks, yes I do consider it slow growth. For example, my RD/Midas has gone from 6" to 10" in the same time.

He's pretty shy, but will come around when you've been arond the tank long enough. I'm hoping this will change as he puts some size on.

I've been very suprised at how much size my male grammodes has put on over the past 8 months, they are supposed to be very slow growers. Just thought I'd share an updated pic.

very nice fish, although considering they can get to 12" (apparently) 2.5" growth in 8 months is nothing really..?

He's completley awesome! I had a group of them but I'm down to one female after she shredded up the others. She's soooo mean even to the bigger fish. And she's not shy at all....she swims out in open water a lot of the time in my 253 with fish much larger than her, and will face off....No Fear. Here's a few pics. The first one is her backing down my huge BREEDING convict!! The other fish run from his attacks.

Thx MDH for letting me put my pics on your thread. Our Grammys could possibly make a good pair lol.

He's nice. Can you put him up to a ruler?

Ever try doing that with skittish fish? Exercise in futility! Sometimes you have to wait for 20-30 mins to get a decent shot, let alone get luck to have the fish in the frame along with a ruler!

Mike, that grammodes looks awesome. Too bad you weren't planning on breeding them. Then again, does Cy have any extra females available? Do IT!
