I am going to wait until they are born before I get pics. Its not like I can provide you guys with an ultrasound image. Be patient.

Those will be some nice babies. Anyone going to the Daytona Breeder's Expo this weekend?

Can you post recent pictures of the female? Shots that show her full length where the bulge you speak of can clearly be seen would be nice. I have a few questions as well.

1) How long has it been since she was last with the male?

2) Did you witness any actual copulation or courtship behavior?

3) How old are both of the snakes?

Both snakes are 3 years old and are housed together all of the time. They are both about 2' and 3-5" long. I did not witness any copulation but I was out of town for two weeks recently and there is a possibilit of them locking up while I was not looking. I will try and get some pics soon but I don't want to mess with her too much if it turns out that she is gravid.

I got some pics but they are crappy. Should be good enough to get you what you need though:

I was kind of hoping for some shots of the entire snake laid out on a flat surface. Size and location of her bulge is very important as she may just have feces inside her. Shelgs don't really bred just because they are housed together, it take simulation of natural environmental cycles in order to trigger breeding behavior. If you were out of town for two weeks and not heavily misting them then I doubt she's gravid. Only time will tell though.
