Its about 6 months old, and pushing 11". You sure know your stuff. One question, how do I tell the difference between a true purebred green, and not a hybrid one?

based on my experience, and on what i saw from my LFS a hybrid green ( xb/rtg over green ) it has a much more shiny in colors and it rarely shows its horseshoe pattern on their scales, while the classic one it is darker than the hybrid one ( much more grayer ) and it shows its horse shoe pattern on its scales.. that's from my experience.

Adult greens are nice, i nearly bought one. That is the fish i had in mind when i first got the hook. A quarter of the price of an RTG. I saved a bit and bought an RTG. I'm happy with it but I wouldn't say I'd have been disappointed had I bought a green.
I think the hybrid label is from selective breeding to produce better colours and overall shine. They're nice fish when they get older. Especially if they retain the yellowishness in the tails and fins.
If you've got a BBXB I'm jealous, IMHO they're one of the best looking Asian arows in the non-red spectrum of colour.

ive never owned a green only a banjar....even when i had banjar i wished it was a green..literally

greens look beautiful so do 1.5 red
