lol you obviously didn't look at the big picture! An average silver would out grow a 180g in a couple of years, where as an asian will stay smaller and will be fine in a 180g for 5+ years. If you can't afford a big tank then an asian (or jardini if you're on a budget) would be a much better choice. Green aro + a 180g is way cheaper than a silver + a 300+g...

TBH I couldn't care less what people think of the fish I keep, I'd pick my dull grey and black uarus over a colourful gold severum or oscar any day. If it was all about colour then everyone would keep marine tanks because there is just no comparrison between salt and fresh when it comes to colour. I guess for some people its all about the bling, but not everyone...

I am sure you want to keep that green for decades, and 180G is just the minimum. If you want the fish to be happy and comfortable, eventually you will have tp upgrade to a 300G +++. In the end, it will outmatch the price of a silver and the 300G tank, because YOU WILL buy a bigger tank for your 2-3 ft green :D

Marine tank cost WAY more than fresh

Its just a matter of opinion ^^ don't be angry ;)

I agree with DavidR, I want a Green, not a stupid red. I have plenty money and I wanna buy what I wanna buy. I currently own a Blue Base Crossback and I think that's an ugly fish.

How about you give me $3500 for this fish and you can have it. Put your money where your mouth is. I have my opinions, you have yours. So shut up and GTFO if you have nothing informative to say in my thread.

Maybe I just don't like it? Kinda like how you don't like something, ya dig?

gimme discount maybe i find a buyer for that xb :grinno: anyhow yeah everyone got different taste on each species.. but im sure you still think that XB is a nice fish otherwise you wouldnt have boughten it to begin with. again, everyones got different preferences just like you said. so you are right about that, and i think greens are very nice fish..besides the value whats wrong with it? Color? Lol....its got nice color just not as vibrant...

from how i see it, people like fish according to its rarity and color.. what if all asians were all priced at $2000 firm no discount and it is the same price for all asians... then ppl will REALLY hate greens? LOL!!!!!! thats not a true fish hobbyist? :screwy:

why are they illegal in the USA?

in the wild, the asian aro population has been decreased dramaticaly.. hence an endangered species on the endangered species list. Captive bred-farmbred- does not count towards the total population of wild.

If you think a BBXB is ugly then buy whatever you want from the same farm you bought from the last time around. I'm sure you will get the same result. A fool and his money soon part.

I wouldn't buy from the same farm ever again, I won't mention which one it is either. What's with all the party poopers too? You're all pretty negative people lol.
