i was thinking about putting an oscar in with my sunfish(his name is greg and he is 4 inches long) i would buy an oscar about 4-5 inches long to put in the 29l would this work?once i get my job i have a deal lined up with my lfs for a 75 gallon tank so he would go into that.

oscars "hold their own" but a sunny may beat him up in a smaller tank.if they dont beat each other up you could get away with it but not for very long since you would need a bigger tank for them to be happy. Is the sunny wild caught?

Green sunfish are very aggressive species for a sunfish. Oscar's all bark and no bite, wont last in a tank with 8 sunfish. So no it wont be work. Oscar are most filthiest fish that produce lots of wastes than sunfish, so he could foul the water more quickly.

ya i have 8 right now but my friend is getting a small pond and he wants some so im going to give him 7 of the sunfish so could i get the oscars if i have just one 4 inch sunfish?

yea ive kept sunfish with os before as long as theres a bid enough tank and theres only 1 sunny your fine

I wouldn't do it, not enough space to avoid fighting over territory. Get a 6' tank and try it, but not in the current size
