So I have a 3 year old green terror. He has been through a lot, he has batted hole in the head and an addiction to bloodworms and won both fights. My Oscar seems bored and my green terror does as well. My green terror is in a 40 gallon breeder and my Oscar is in a 75. I know the 40 is a little small for the terror so my question is, should move the terror to a 55 or should I get a 125 and put the terror with the Oscar? How can I keep them happy they both seem lonely

these territorial fish do not get lonely... If anything territorial fish do not want competition, hence better without other cichlids who will compete with them. I would keep the 75g in case the 125g does not work out so you can place the GT in it if either one gets too territorial in the 125g

would you think that he would probably just be happier by himself in a 55?
Personally, I would put the oscar in no less than a 5 foot long tank. A 4 foot tank like a 75g seems to look a bit more cramp when they start to hit 12". (easy enough to visualize an american football in the 75g.

A 75g is perfectly fine for a lone GT. A 55g is too small width wise long term for a 8-10" GT.

Okay, I will keep that in mind. A friend of mine bought the Oscar and had him in a 10 gallon tank. I took him and bought the biggest tank I could find (75g) at a reasonable price. I would love to have the 125 and the 75 but honestly the ol lady would have words with me. If I were to get the 125 the 40 and the 75 would have to go, but I could get away with switching the 40 for a 55 and I can’t find another 75.
and the price on the 125 is insane.

Is it an issue to let them see each other? The terror doesn’t have sand because he’s finally getting better from his hith so I had to change the water and get the uneaten food out so it was easier. And I lied after checking the Oscar it 3 months old

Keep an eye on it. They can be stressed out by simply seeing each other. Some species stress themselves to death when they can't get access to attack another fish in the next tank (beani come to mind).

If you constant flaring at each other or hanging away from the neighboring tank, but a divider in between so they can't see each other.

ALso, the oscar is doing a submission/pouty pose right now

Okay sounds good. I had a towel up for the last few months but I wasn’t sure. Is it normal for him to be pale? He has always been.
