Green Terror Pair having babies

How do your GT's act to eachother?

Does the male act really agressive toward the female or is it just the jiggy wiggle?

I guess what I am asking is what is the behavior of the pair before the eggs are laid?

They are very good together before the eggs..they swim together etc.. then once the eggs are fertilized the female does not want the male around.. and the male teases her and comes near and the female chases him away.. no real aggression just the female telling him to get lost and he just does not get the idea..so the female has to chase him all the time even though the male never gets to near..just enough to tease... except at night when he was picking off the babies..he seemes insanely jealous of the kids..anyway he is out of the tank and the female is relaxed{up until her kids started going in all directions and she lost control lol...but all the babies are doing well..they are eating new fresh baby brine shrimp.. you can see their little itty bitty bellies are full.. the only problem is we worry that some may also be eating the baby brine shrimp shells.. that happened a few times when we were raising the new baby angels.. wish me luck!!

everything is still going well..although it is hard to count how many babies are still actually swimming ... it looks like all are surviving so far.. Mom is looking great.. here is a picture of her chasing me away..haha The baby's are all around her in this photo but they are so small the camera did not pick them up.. soon I hope.........:D

I am so surprised that they breed in that size
my GT breed when they are 4 inches in my 29g

anyway, congradulation!!

Our Green Terror babies are now two months old..these guys grow so slowly.. also we lost quite a few and have not fiqured out why..they are in with Guppys and the guppys are fine..we kind of use them to see if there was anything wrong with the water ...but the guppys thrived ..so we have about 12 green terror babies out of the batch of 40.. We also had a Electric Yellows born around the same time..those we did not lose even one..so i think because the Green Terror parents were still immature when they had the fry ...you do not get a healthy batch.. we will breed them again when they are older..

Yeah.. I have had mine for about the same amount of time and they are still really small.

Do yours have the GT color yet or are they still kinda clear brown?

How is your female?

Sorry things didnt work out. Better luck next time.

same thing happened with my friends CHocolate. Bought one from one store no idea of sex. couple months later bought anohter random chocolate. BAAM started bredding right away. We have had a suscesfull breed but only have about 6 juvies survive in a growout tank. They are about 1'' so far, took forevr to get them that big even. The only thing I have bred myself was salt and pepper coreys, got about 15 juvies haha. Good luck too you. THeres nothing like having a bredding pair of cichlids!

Mine are sort of a brown color...if you look carefully at mine you can just begin to see the markings developing but not the color..I just lost another baby today..so sad.. i will probably lose them all.. it has been one a day for a long time now, the Mom is fine.. her picture is in the above thread along with her babies...she has not grown much.. the male is starting to put on size now..but i thought he would be bigger by now too..everyone of my fish have grown rapidly and most are even fat..i know i probably have the only fat fish there are.. i feed excellent and alot of variety..so these green terrors have me baffled at what is going on...How are all your babies doing?
