thnx for further info if i did firemouths i know they are aggressive especially with breeding season..but im gonna look into to possibly owning something rather small..like a possible pictus catfish, danios, or maybe smaller cichlids..but if i said catfish i would ask if i could get a L-114, jaguar catfish, or pictus catfish? but smaller cichlids what could be life..

With a 55 your options are many. You could Rams, Apistos, Kribs, Jewels, Angels, Cons, Firemouths, Smaller Acaras if your tastes run towards the GT, some of the Acara species are stunning. Sajicas will fit into a 55 if you like Cons and want somthing a little bigger less agrissive and colorful. You could add a small school of corys for the bottom and some tetras or mollies as dither depending on what direction you go in you could make a really beautful tank.
