i wouldnt mind having it either the trick is you need fish that can hold their own with him and a oscar and jd probly wont. You need a jag, a red terror, a pike

Very true, the one I had was top dog and got his hump very early on with a tank full of pikes !

Then I sold off the pikes and housed him with other very agressive fish, such as RT as "Aquamonster" mentioned, RTM, and a black belt.

I love GT's but I have had the problem with "IP" on every attempt to raise one full grown. Your fish sounds like a winner good luck with it !!

Yes they are a pair.

Well i added some wood to the top glass, like roots of a tree, its not on this picture.
Ill try to get some more wood and try to close the open spot.

Thx for the advice! Im first gonna try the wood and see if it helps.

@ cichlid fiend: Nice fish!

Stunning GT MAN. As you read in my other thread i have the option to get one with a black belt cichlid in a trade for my wolf fish

Oh yea before I forget, the JD has 2 blackish spots on her lips now, one upper and one on her lower lip, will this eventually heal?

She looks also very pale, is it possible the GT is stressing her out so that she will die?

He has decided to stake his claim and he see that the other fish are scared or not phyically challenging enough.

Oh, I missed that entire sentence. Thanx. My JD was so frightened of my GT that it hid in an artificial rock and stunted his own growth. I had to break open the rock to get him out. He never came out to eat. He was 4 inches even after a year.

I never thought the GT would be the king, I always thought the JD would be the boss, seems she is a pussy.

female JD'S are pretty harmless. very little aggression unless breeding now there are many males that are straight killers

I would think that your stocklist "should" work fine together in a 125. I had a Gt, oscar, black belt, argentea, and texas in my 125 for a while. They were great together. But one day I came home from work and the GT had been completely stripped of his scales on both sides, but his fins were flawless and untouched. I'm pretty sure my black belt did it. I think you "should" be better off once you put some more structure in the tank. It's a great looking tank already. Good luck. Hope it works out.
