Haha nah that helps a lot with understanding the layout. Kind of hard to piece it all together with pictures at least for my feeble brain.

The next step in the project is going to be a big change to how the overall room looks... casing the new rack. We won't be able to see all the 5.5g's from the couch and the glare from those lights will be gone. Then the "show" tank goes onto the new rack and gets plumbed in etc. Lots more to come

It's a very different experience doing this WITH a spouse. The room would look very different if I was completely in charge! We have different tastes in fish and there is always disagreement when it comes to reducing stock.

On the other hand, many hands make light work. We have split the maintenance so that she is in charge of feeding and monitoring... while she feeds she keeps an eye out for problems with both fish (injuries, deaths, disease) and tanks (malfunctioning filters etc.). If she finds a problem, it becomes my problem. Maintenance of the tanks is my job.

I'm still starting her off with a betta, she's an animal addict so hopefully all goes well. Your room looks great! I just set up a 4th tank in my bedroom, now totalling to 100 gallons l
