i heard that the body shape of datnoids will be different if you feed it pellets its while life to one who eats feeders it whole like, is this true?

Now after watchin them I see that the baby convicts are picking at the dats' sides...rather aggresive for babies...I should probably remove them.....

got rid of them and replaced with an iridescent catfish. I will probably go to the LFS tomorrow and pick up some small clown loaches or small small iridescent catfish.

loachs are good with datnoids, espicially if you trying to train them to eat brime, bloodworms, or pellets

Well now that the iridescent shark is in...my dats came out to swim....when I fed them frozen brine shrimp and blood worms this time.....voila! they ate them...unlike last time.

I'm just kinda worried about 2 of the NTT's. 4 are showing stable colors with the stripes and 2 are pale and faded, barely can see the stripes besides the one that goes thru the eye. The tank I bought them from, there was one left that they said had a fungal infection.

Should I add maracyn half dose just to be safe?

Raised an NTT from 1" to about 3.5" now. Just keep water clean, quarantine feeders before feeding (if you feed them). Try to give it varied diet, it's good if you can get it to eat pellets. Watch for gill flukes, if you see them treat with medication with copper.

How long did that take?? I'm getting a 3.5" Dat and I would like to estimate its age.
