You originally called your ray a teacup. :screwy:

Secondly, this is what we are talking about... there is always some excuse that gets stated and then the pond never happens- the fish/ray stays in the 75, and then 6 months from now you will be on here wondering why you ray is curling.

We are not assuming anything about you, only making observations about what has been said.

"I plan on building a pond..." is like saying you're gonna win the lottery- chances are it won't happen.

no its not. your a true idiot. people like you ruin sites.

you have me speechless as you are just so ridiculous.

by the way you both are assuming, assuming everything. So drop it, we already concluded on this thread. No buy and wait, that is the answer so stop talking. Thanks.

Don't post a thread if you can't handle what people have to say.

You're title for this thread is "grow out for a TEACUP" not "grow out for a MOTORO"

It wasn't until something was said to you that "corrected" yourself and called it a motoro.

There are no assumptions being made. Majority of the people who state that their "grow out" tank is only temporary never end up upgrading to that pond they keep mentioning. So it's an OBSERVATION.

No one is being rude, or saying anything that typically wouldn't be said.

So seriously, :chillpill:

Okay chief, all over this website people say teacup refers to the size of the ray, that is a fact. Your opinion on the use of the word is fine but not right in this case. Grow out for a teacup, yes. I did not to say motoro because it was a sizable question. I did not correct myself, trying to go with the flow of what your peeps want to hear. Observations are assumptions when you assume something for my ray future tense. Seems like your lost and do not know what you are saying.

Typically be said.:screwy:

By the way, the PM you just sent me could get you an infraction. Name calling is not nice.

Do your research darling...

A size able question? You're ray is a motoro regardless of size.

But it's whatever, you've got 40ish posts.. lots to learn. :grinno:

I'll be checking your threads for that pond.

An infraction, like I care. I have a life unlike people who live on here, like...

now your "observations" make you assume more. wow, grade a clown here.

Probably won't be around but you can follow up with me via email.

yes, you said teacup. it is NOT a term we use here, it is a term started by fish stores looking to sell their rays, labeling them teacup because they come in small. they do not stay small by any means and a person buying these animals without any research beforehand gets a real big surprise when their precious little "teacup" ray has gone from 3-4 inches to it's mature size, which for a motoro is roughly 20 inches in disc alone. yeah, that's working really well in a 75g tank....

a motoro is a motoro regardless of its size, it does not turn from a "teacup" into a motoro like a caterpillar turns into a butterfly. this isn't some natural metamorphosis.

do you realize how many people come on here, say they will build something later on down the road and don't because life gets in the way, they lose their job or some unexpected emergency requires them to drain the money they've saved for the next step up?

general rule of thumb, research the animal, prepare its home with the knowledge that you won't have to keep upgrading (frankly it's a giant pain anyways), and then purchase the animal.

you came on here, obviously very new to it all with a massive lack of research as you were still calling it a false name and asking us to condone your choice of improper housing. we're not gonna sit there and congratulate you and give you the thumbs up for putting a fast growing animal into a small enclosure.

take the criticism as constructive, move on, and remedy the problem.

nothing in this thread is constructive, just complete BS and off topic. I asked a simple question, nothing to do with species/adulthood or anything else. Your the trolls who wait to start hating and assuming.

Maybe you should take your life elsewhere.

If you don't like what's being said/posted then just don't post on here.

Your question was answered in post 4. You didn't want to hear it.

None of those tanks will be useful as a growout for more than a few months so people are trying to save you the $500 (and no, that's not a good price for those tanks).
