great lookin gt. i have a pair. the female laid eggs one time,and the fry died due to a power faliure. after that the female stopped eating for a few months and lost alot of size . she look horrible. now the male doesnt like her at all. he beats her up . and this last week he started becoming more picky with his food. i dont know what to do.

You will want to separate the male and female so the female can bulk up again. They normally come around once you put the female in an aquarium where she is not stressed out by any competing fish. Pairs don't always get along. A lot of people breed GTs as pairs, but a single male GT will actually breed with a colony of females at a time.

What is a GM fish? BTW, this fish isn't a short body. Short bodies do look cool. But, this guys has been bred for certain genetic features.
