Got a question tho, what if he decides to.swallow a raph cat..will he choke on that? If ever he does that, i dont plan on removing the raph like what some of you warned me earlier. I just have this high hope of comming them together
Well raphs are very slow growers so I hope either the gulper is pretty small or the raphs are pretty big, I've got mine at 1" since last august and he's only 3.5" now. Eating a raph could really hurt the gulper since raphs have very painful spines down their lateral line (believe me, I found out the hard way). So it's your tank and it's up to you whether you're willing to take that risk.
In have to get one what donyou think the minimum tank would be?

A 40g, is 12' wide, isnt it? Then he wouldnt really be able to move as fullygrown, i'd say that 18wide is way better, but i've never had one, so no idea how active they acually are, but to be just as wide as the tank as fullygrown, then he would have to be very inactive, for that to work. For a single gulper, i think a 40 is good. But i think you'll enjoy him more if you get at least a 50. He'll be set there for life hehe
