Guys who own pits and other big dogs, tell me more about this

ID LIKE TO SAY THAT EVERY BODY WHO REPLYED IS A VERGINA. THAT PITBULL IS GREAT LOOKING. AND NO THAT DOG WILL NOT HAVE HEALTH ISSUES. IV HAD MY DOG FOR YEARS,MINE CAME FROM GOTTI LINE AND HE IS A GREAT DOG. HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS AT ALL. HE LIVE A NORMAL LIFE. WE RUN FOR HOURS. I GET TIERD BEFORE HE DOES. MY DOG IS ABOUT 75 POUNDS AND A 28 INCH NECK. HE IS GREAT WITH KIDS. AND THE REASON THERE CALLED BULLYS IS BECAUSE THE WAY THEY LOOK!!! I SAY CHECK THEM OUT.

Before you go calling people vergina's, learn how to spell, it would make reading easier.

Quite obviously this is a good example of what I am always saying, instead of showing your point in a way everyone can try to understand, you go off, well at least I think, calling us female genitalia.

How do you know if THAT DOG will have health issues? Did you get it health checked? how did his eyes, heart, hips, joints and ect score?
How well did he pass his GCG and temperament testing?

That is your dog, and he's about half the weight of this one.

I did not say this dog wasn't a pure sweetheart, if I saw him in a shelter he'd go home with me, but I wouldn't support a breeder who is selling very strange looking dogs. If these people breeding odd strains want to make their own, then these breeders should get together and begin to make this a recognized breed, they could call them Gotti Pit, Bully Pits, or whatevver, but stop calling them pit bulls, it breeds misconception of what these dogs should be.

It is like people breeding german shepherds to be stocky, short legged, and blocky headed. Like breeding pekingese to have a long snout and thin legs. It is NOT improving the breed.

whats with the collar ithink the owner is into bondage and probly drives a "bro truck" way to over complisate eh lol

I thought that as well.. lol
I do not get how people will think that walking a medium sized terrier breed around makes YOU look tough... I saw a guy walking a pit pup who had to be 12 weeks or so like it was a freaking lion pulling him around. Made me think God, if you can't control a baby, how tough can you be?
I am into pits because they are a great breed, and they are in dire need of help these days.

Mk, please let us know how your visit goes...

I just took a good look at him, and I've found many flaws. I HAVE seen gottiline with a sound body, and he is not one...

I and going to post a picture of him, and it's not just this one, I see these flaws in just about every picture.
His hips turn out.
His front legs go out from the chest then bow deeply in, a pit's legs should but straight, and make the dog look square if viewed from the front.
His pasterns appear pretty weak... A pit's pasterns should be straight and strong.

He looks like a really sweetie, though. I just want to squish him.

These guys are in CA as well, and their dogs look much better.

Even if I do not like the way these people make the dogs look, they are obviously putting more care into these. They do have some with weak pasterns, but no deformed legs and hips.

bettagurl, on the site, they have the pits bloodline and it was from a Gottiline. Don't worry I'll ask a bunch of questions and all. I'll give everyone an update and pics if possible when they call me back.

I know, I'm just saying their actual dogs, not the lines, look a lot better.

Good, I am glad you aren't just saying "Wow, cool dog, MINE NOW!", you are going about it the right way by asking around and talking with the breeders.

I like to do research just wanted peoples opinions, I'm on the pitbullforum right now searching around to find more about these type of dogs.
